Strange Summer It's been a strange summer, with you not around Been such a strange summer, sun ain't goin' down Not just the empty bed, not just the empty house I miss the way you touch me when you aren't around I know you miss me too, but we gotta hold on tight If I could close my eyes, I could dream of you at night It's been a strange summer, with you not around Been such a strange summer, sun ain't goin' down I miss your sparkling eyes, I miss your sweet, sweet smile I can't forget about you across these lonely miles If we close our eyes, we can feel each other near But when we open them, we always disappear It's been a strange summer, with you not around Been such a strange summer, sun ain't goin' down

When all those minds are falling, like the leaves are from the trees In October's winds they fail and yet they still succeed Because they always come back, so new and so green How I wish that we could grow back new every spring Throw your life into those boxes and head on down the tracks It's always someone's time to go so don't look back. There's something about leavin' when you have no choice We'll never be there again, (how) we lost our voice And she's somewhere better, you know this in your mind Still your heart is sayin' you left her behind Every place we go now, won't be the same Any place we go now, might feel unsafe But we'll soon get comfortable and forget we have to change When the leaves fall from the trees we'll do it all again Throw your life into those boxes and head on down the tracks It's always someone's time to go so don't look back. There's something about leavin' when you have no choice We'll never be there again, (how) we lost our voice And she's somewhere better, you know this in your mind Still your heart is sayin' you left her behind

Take a walk with me, down to the ocean's edge The sand under our feet was once a mountain peak, 'cus What crumbles at the base, will soon fall to the ground If it takes a million years, I hope you'll stick around Hungry Wolves - outside your window Hungry Wolves - outside the door Hungry Wolves - they're comin' after you Hungry Wolves - outside your strip mall Hungry Wolves - outside your school Hungry Wolves - we gotta push on through You're waiting for a spark to ignite your heart again A spark under a tree can burn a forest down, but The fire only burns 'til it runs out of fuel I guess that that makes two of us Hungry Wolves - outside your window Hungry Wolves - outside the door Hungry Wolves - they're comin' after you Hungry Wolves - outside the strip mall Hungry Wolves - outside the school Hungry Wolves - we gotta push on through Maybe we should live above the clouds so high We'd see the sun all day and all the stars at night It's just a fantasy, I know, it's just a fantasy Hungry Wolves - outside your window Hungry Wolves - outside the door Hungry Wolves - they're comin' after you Hungry Wolves - outside your strip mall Hungry Wolves - outside your schools Hungry Wolves - we gotta push on through Hungry Wolves - outside the nightclub Hungry Wolves - outside your pools Hungry Wolves - they're comin' after you Hungry Wolves - outside the motel Hungry Wolves - outside our door Hungry Wolves - we gotta push on through
